A tribute and celebration of the great saxophonist Geoff Hawkins. The album features Geoff in many of the bands led by Tim Hill through the 1980s to early 2000s. Geoff was the second great 'Hawk' of the tenor sax, not anywhere enough known here and abroad, but a player of originality, passion and depth
Tim's bands featured some of the UK's most creative musicians, including, Pat Thomas, Steve Noble, John Edwards, Dom Lash and Alex Ward among many other fine musicians. They played Reading, Oxford and London and sometimes toured wider afield and at shows at the Green Gathering and Glastonbury festival. They played Tim's own music and arrangements of Sun Ra.
