about

An album of short solo improvisations on sopranino, alto and baritone saxophones. The ghosts of various free jazz and free improvisation solo saxophone traditions inevitably haunt the pieces but then so does Mr Punch. Tim is preparing more pieces in honour this singular English gentleman
The pieces are often more dramatic and exploratory than thematic, playing with noise, texture and melody, most are short bursts of sound, but do a few go for a little ramble too.
