Swine are a Somerset based group of sound makers based around saxophonist Tim Hill.
Swine create debris strewn wetlands of sound and conjure sonic deliriums using a wide variety of sound sources including Michael Fairfax’s sound sculptures, a family of beautiful wooden instruments, Tim Hill’s treated saxophones, combined with electronics from dystopian drum and bass producer Jon Cooke. Some tracks also feature Somerset sonic magicians Farmer Glitch and Mathew Saunders.
The result is an organic, improvised sound world of tides, swirls, swamps and geologies of noise blurring inner and outer landscapes.
Michael’s instruments are hewn from tree trunks to create a family of beautiful stringed instruments, elemental and evocative. You can see them at www.michaelfairfax.co.uk/sound.html
